Summer Research Internship with LSAMP STEM (Science, Technology, Education, and Math)

The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation is accepting applications for a seven-week, paid research internship to begin on May 25 at UB.  The internship is open to full-time students pursuing a course of study in a  field related to science, technology, education or math who will be entering their junior year in the fall of 2011.  Interns living on campus will receive a $2,000 stipend with room & board and daily meals provided.  Off-campus students will receive a $3,000 stipend along with daily lunch.  Applicants should have a GPA of at least 2.8 and be a member of a group that has been traditionally underrepresented in the fields of science, technology, education, and math.  Applicants will need to submit an application form along with two faculty or staff recommendations and a resume along with a personal statement.  For more information, or to request an application form, contact Drexel Gidney at gidney@buffalo.edu (716-645-0963) or Dr. Letitia Thomas at lthomas@buffalo.edu (716-645-7301).
